Discover our special blend for your garden and experience the diverse benefits of natural ground cover with mulch pellets. Our hay mulch pellets are an effective solution to protect your soil, reduce weed growth, and promote plant growth.

Our hay mulch pellets are produced in our own factory from at least 50% meadow bird hay and barley straw. This special and unique mixture ensures a pleasant scent and an excellent effect in the garden.

Whether strawberries, zucchini, or other vegetables, the mulch pellets help retain water in the soil and build up humus in your vegetable patch.

The hay mulch pellets are very economical. Only 600-800g of pellets are needed per m².

The hay is 100% meadow bird hay!

For our garden pellets, we use hay from areas that are mown very late in the year (August). These areas are used by lapwings and other birds until then. The hay from these meadows is particularly rich in structure and is therefore perfect as garden mulch. Click here for details!

Tips for use:

  • The hay mulch layer should be a few centimeters thick (a few pellets are enough for this)
  • The mulch should cover the ground all year round
  • In principle, our hay mulch is suitable for all plants

Advantages of our hay mulch:

Easy handling and storage: Compared to straw mulch or wood chips, hay mulch pellets are compact and low-dust. Distribution in the garden is also very easy due to the pellet shape.

Soil protection: Mulch protects the soil from the effects of extreme temperatures, erosion, and silting. The mulch layer acts as an insulating barrier and protects the soil from temperature fluctuations as well as from erosion by wind and water.

Moisture retention: Mulch plays an important role in maintaining soil moisture. By reducing evaporation, the soil remains moist longer, which is particularly beneficial during dry periods. This leads to more efficient water use and promotes plant growth.

Weed suppression: One of the main functions of hay mulch is to suppress weed growth. The mulch layer forms an impenetrable barrier that prevents weed seeds from germinating and growing. This eliminates the need for manual weeding and simplifies garden maintenance.

Temperature regulation: The hay mulch pellets contribute to the temperature regulation of the soil. It insulates the soil and protects the roots of your plants from extreme temperatures. This promotes healthy plant growth and provides optimal conditions for the development of your root systems.

Nutrient supply: As the mulch pellets decompose, nutrients are gradually released. This natural process ensures a slow and continuous supply of nutrients to your plants. The released nutrients improve soil fertility and promote plant growth and development.

Less maintenance: The use of hay mulch pellets reduces the amount of maintenance required in your garden. By suppressing weed growth, the time and effort spent weeding are minimized.
